I went into the CPL's Teen Zone on twitter. They advertise some fun stuff for teens - like nominate your favourite book, new teen programs and contests....
I don't use Twitter, nor have any interest in it. I can see why some people like it - advertise their business, etc. and if you can't get out into the real world, it's a way of socializing from your computer at home.

Library Thing
I used Library Thing to look for a particular series and it came up with quite a few good suggestions. I went into reviews (which was kind of confusing - if you just click on 'reviews' there is 'nothing to review' - you have to search a book first - makes sense!). Because of the reviews on particular books, I no longer want to read them!
I might use Library Thing to keep track of books I would like to read - really like reading the reviews. Their website is kind of 'busy' - lots of info and links - sometimes less is better!

ONLINE PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS
I don't see myself using these tools, I very seldom use my computer at home (just to check email) because it is so slow and old (just like me!!). I like using the old fashioned method of a wall calendar and post-it notes!
If I was to use any of these tools, it would be the Google Calender - 'reminder' of appts/events sent to my cellphone. I use my cellphone quite regularly, more so than my computer.

Flicker and YouTube
Easy enough to get into (Flicker) but I would never use it. I use YouTube periodically to watch a specific video clip - again, easy to access.

Bloglines RSS
Well, simple enough at the beginning but then once you decide how you want to be notified, it became a little complicated (you have to download which I didn't do). The websites I was interested in did not have RSS feeds. Don't think I'd ever use this feature but interesting to use. If I had more time I'd look into it further.

Google Products
I've used a few of 'google products' in my Cyberseniors classes. I like to use google maps, images and subject directories. Just playing around with Google Earth now - really cool, but I like some of the results (directions, location finder of buildings...etc) better on google maps. I'm going to use google earth in my next Cyberseniors class - I think they'll really enjoy it. Google has so much to offer. Again, its finding the time to do these assignments - it's frustrating trying to do searches in between customers! Onward ho! - Moe!

It was easy to set up an account. Probably what is most appealing about Facebook is finding someone you haven't heard from in years. I found someone I haven't seen in over 20 years! That was pretty cool.
I don't think I'll be using it much - it can become very time consuming, plus most of my age group does not use Facebook. Being on the computer all day at work, I don't want to use it in my "down' time - nor do I have the time. I can see how it can be a fun social-networking site.

Wikipedia
I was amazed at how easy it was to edit and save the change, without having to log in or create an account. I was also surprised that I found a spelling mistake! I looked up "Casa Loma" and found one spelling mistake written in the history - there could be more but I ran out of time to look.
I really don't rely on Wikipedia as my main source of info for a customer, but it comes in handy as a quick reference. But if anyone can edit, how do we know what we are reading is accurate?

THIS BLOGGING BUSINESS
THE MORE I GET INTO THIS BLOGGING, THE LESS I KNOW AND THE MORE CONFUSING IT GETS - YOU NEVER TOLD US HOW COMPLICATED THIS BLOGGING BUSINESS CAN BE! LETS JUST PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL PEOPLE IF WE REALLY WANT TO INTERACT WITH THEM. SOMETIMES THE OLD WAY IS BETTER.

A Blogger's First Time
Not sure how I got this far in the blog. Still not sure what I am doing. Not too sure where to go from here. Not sure what I am going to learn!
'Which aspect of Web 2.0 are you the most intrigued (or scared) by?' you asked - probably the fact that I have to share my answers/blogs with anyone out there - gives me an uneasy feeling.
Also not sure how to find the time to do this at work.
